Green HRM promotes higher education sustainability: a mediated-moderated analysis

Purpose In the contemporary world, where sustainability at higher education is forefront, ever-changing business ecosystem nurtures a new drift towards economic, environmental and social performance. This study aims to measure impact of green human resource management (GHRM) practices on in developing country context through theoretical aspect Resource-Based View (RBV). Design/methodology/approach adopted quantitative approach propose test model based predictors sustainability. The survey received 190 responses from employees (faculty non-faculty members) working as full-time 40 institutions (HEIs) Pakistan. structural measurement was calculated using SmartPLS. Findings results show that “green training development” (GTD) “top commitment greening workforce (TMCGW)” have positive relationship with while recruitment selection (GRS) not supported by mediating effect TMCGW plays crucial role between GTD Also, this contributes moderating interaction Gender Overall GHRM promote employee behavior Originality/value proposed research current substantial gap literature exploring connection requires frameworks. To bridge gap, examined micro-level (employee perspective) RBV Importantly, enhances understanding emerging global wave mobility highlights perception academic professionals.
